Soroca & Allocca
Soroca & Allocca (Karen Soroca and Janet Marie) are the dynamic songwriting team responsible for all the wonderful songs on our site. While Karen is the primary composer and Janet the primary lyricist in the team, each one contributes substantially to the overall polish of each song.
These gifted collaborators each have many years experience in the entertainment industry, representing between them an enormous body of work in both network television and feature film.
"Wise Woman" was placed under the end title credits of a prestigious documentary, "Above & Beyond: 100 Years of Women in Aviation". This documentary, from Art-Reach International and sponsored by the U.S. Air Force, recently toured the United States with the U.S. Air Force Centennial of Flight Exhibition.
Three of their songs placed 4th and 5th in the 10th Annual Billboard Annual Songwriting Contest!
The pair also produced the Marin Children's Chorus singing back-up to their patriotic song, "Livin' Free in the U.S. of A." This song was Soroca & Allocca's 9/11 song. It expresses what it means to be an American from their point of view, and it invokes shades of 1776 Americana in its multiple textures. This unique project was produced at world-famous Skywalker Sound (at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch) in Marin County, CA.
Soroca & Allocca currently have several prestige projects in the works and look forward to many successful collaborations in the future.
